Title: Spirit Snatcher (Ardere Series #3)

Author: Margo Ryerkerk

Genre: YA Fantasy

Publication Date: April 14, 2018

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

She will venture into the enemy’s lair to save the ones she loves.

Sierra is trying to come to terms with the discovery of her family’s dark secrets and master the elements when the Culpatus begins to abduct Guardians from London’s streets.

To find out what the Culpatus has planned and where they’re taking the Guardians, Sierra has to team up with Gavin and confront the reality that her heart still longs for him, even though she’s dating Cooper.

The mission to rescue the Guardians will test Sierra, Gavin, and Cooper like nothing has ever before and take them deep into the lair of the Culpatus.

Will they manage to free their people, or will they end up prisoners themselves?

Hoo boy, this book was wild.

As this is the third book in the series, I can’t get too specific, because I like to keep things as spoiler free around here as possible. With that said, I do need to talk about Spirit Snatcher. If you haven’t started this series yet, what are you waiting for? This third installment is quite possibly the best and strongest book so far, and I think this trend is only going to continue. While some series tend to degrade in quality, Margo’s writing only gets better, and the story only gets juicier and crazier.

The character growth from book one is just astounding. I know I say this about every book in the series, but I’m always so happy with how well written and realistic the actual growth is. Sierra has changed so much from the girl we met in Fluidus Rising, and I have loved watching her grow and develop her powers even further. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Sierra and the gang on this crazy ride.

This series only gets better with each installment. I give Spirit Snatcher 5 out of 5 stars.
