Great Series I Need To Catch Up On

Hey everyone!

While typing up yesterday’s haul post, I realized that I have a few great series that I started and then never finished for one reason or another. It’s not that I didn’t like the books. In fact, some of these are favorites. I just got distracted somehow, because honestly that describes me as a person in general. Anyways, I wanted to share them with you guys, and hopefully this holds me accountable so I actually finish or catch up on these series soon. For the sake of spoilers, I’m going to share the synopsis first book, and then also say what the last book I finished in that series was. Here they are:

The Union Series by T.H. Hernandez

Last Book I Completed: The Uprising (Book #3)

the union

After global warming and a second civil war devastated the former United States, two different societies rose from the ashes – the Union, a towering high-tech utopia, hugging the perimeter of the continent, and the devastated, untamed midsection known as the Ruins.

Seventeen-year-old Evan Taylor has an easy, privileged life in the Union. What she doesn’t have is any idea what to do with the rest of her life. She only knows she wants to do something meaningful, to make a difference in the lives of others.

When she’s kidnapped and taken into the Ruins as a pawn in a dispute involving her boyfriend, Bryce, her ideal world is turned upside down. What she learns while in the Ruins shakes her faith in everything she’s ever known, from Bryce, to her family, and even the Union itself.

Now Evan must choose whether to stay with Cyrus, the sexy, resourceful survivor who believes she’s in the Ruins for a reason, or return to the only life she’s ever known. But when she stumbles upon a dangerous plot that threatens both worlds, her decision could tear her apart.

The Red Queen Series by Victoria Aveyard

Last Book I Completed: Red Queen (Book #1)

Red Queen

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver. The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change. That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime. But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart.

Celtic Legends Collection by Martina Boone

Last Book I Completed: Bell of Eternity by Martina Boone (Book #2)

lake of destiny

Helping her aunt organize a Beltane Festival in a picturesque Highland village seems like the perfect escape from Anna’s second broken engagement and the meltdown that wrecked her legal career. But to succeed, she’ll need to wrangle kilt-wearing villagers, dangerous sheep, a disaster of a dog, and the reclusive laird who refuses to open his property to the public for the ancient tradition of “Sighting.”

For centuries, Loch Fàil in Balwhither has been known to locals as a “thin” place, one where the veil between worlds peels back on Beltane morning to show the face of a person’s one true love. The tradition could draw tourists by the busload, but that’s exactly what Connal MacGregor fears will reveal the two secrets he’s been desperately keeping hidden.

While Anna struggles to mediate between the needs of the village and Connal’s need to protect his identity and his child, Anna finds herself falling in love with all of them: Connal and his daughter, the magical glen, the villagers. But day by day, opening herself to love exposes deep scars from Anna’s childhood, and confronting those wounds could finally set her free–or endanger her every chance of happiness.

Angelbound Origins by Christina Bauer

  1. I’m not much of a Series person. And till day I haven’t read any book belonging to a series. I mean, I’ve read some, but those can be read as a standalone as well.

From these, The Red Queen has intrigued me. But I haven’t made up my mind to even check it out on Amazon or Goodreads.

All the best. I hope you get to complete these soon.

  2. Oh, my god! I feel you. I have like 10 series I’m in the middle of, but I just haven’t picked up for some reason. Also, the Union Series sounds really good… Might have to pick that one up some time…
