I’ve been thinking about making some kind of “hello yes this is me when I’m not reading” post, but I couldn’t quite figure out how. I’m probably still going to eventually post something along those lines, but the lovely Karen Jo from Sincerely Karen Jo tagged me to do the Get To Know Me Tag and solved that little dilemma. Once you’re done reading this post, definitely hop on over to her blog. You’ll love it, I promise. Anyways, let’s jump into the tag.
What’s you favorite color and do you have the book in that color?
I actually don’t have a favorite color, to be totally honest. I wear mostly dark colors, so I suppose black, dark red, even blue are all great. When I think of books that have color schemes I like, I think of The Beast is an Animal by Peternelle van Arsdale.
Describe yourself with 3 book characters.
I’ve gotta cheat and use a TV character to start off. He’s technically also a book character, but I’ve only seen the TV show, so I can’t really accurately use the book character. I’ve gotta say Sandor Clegane, or The Hound from Game of Thrones. I’ve had multiple friends tell me that I’m a less violent, female Sandor Clegane. Honestly, even my husband has said this.
My second character would be Rose Hathaway from The Vampire Academy series. We have the same sense of humor and short temper.
My third character would probably be Evie from The Diviners. Evie has a tendency to be a bit over the top and.. dare I say… dramatic. Let’s just say that it’s a trait we both share.
Hyped books yay or nay? If yay, what was the most hyped book you ever read? If nay, what was the most hyped book you decided not to read?
A very hesitant yay. Sometimes the hype will steer me away, but most of the time if I want to read something, I’ll pick it up, hype or not. The most hyped book I’ve read is the same as most people’s: Twilight.
Recommend one book per season.
Name one book that wrecked you emotionally.
-insert maniacal, “I’m in denial” laughter here-
Name a book that you always recommend to everybody you know.
The Shadowhunter Chronicles or The Shatter Me Series. More recently, The Unbelievables by KC Tansley.
What book would you recommend with tea and cookies?
Is it a cop out if I say Harry Potter?
What is your guilty pleasure book?
Oooooh. I’ve gotta reuse an answer from earlier for this one and say Twilight. The movies are also a guilty pleasure.
Favorite dessert and a book that reminds you of that.
I’m not really much of a dessert person, to be totally honest. I’ll just go with ice cream in general. When I think of ice cream, I think of the Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout because there’s a scene where Dee is screaming at Daemon for eating her ice cream, and it always cracks me up. Pretty sure that scene is in Onyx.
Are you a procrastinator? What book have you been procrastinating reading?
I’m a horrible procrastinator. I’ll admit it. Honestly, if I listed everything I’ve been procrastinating reading, we’d be here for the next ten years. The first one I thought of is A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas. I’ve owned it since it came out. Still haven’t read it.
As always, if you want to do this tag, consider yourself tagged!
