The NetGalley Tag

Hey everyone!

I know lately I’ve been doing strictly reviews, but I wanted to shake things up a bit and break up the sameness with a tag. The NetGalley tag was created by Kourtni at Kourtni Reads, and I was tagged by Karen Jo at Sincerely Karen Jo (definitely check out her blog, it’s great). Here are the rules:

Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they are about?

The first author that comes to mind is Cassandra Clare, but I’m going to cheat and also say Amy Lukavics. She writes some of my favorite YA horror, and I feel like I can count on her to scare the ever loving crap out of me.

REQUEST:

What makes you want to request a book on NetGalley?

I’m usually immediately drawn to pretty covers, but then I also read the synopsis to see if it’s something that I think I’ll like. After being hopelessly swamped on NetGalley once or twice, I really try to only request books that I think I’ll like.

FEEDBACK RATIO:

Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?

I actually do not. I don’t like doing negative reviews, so I only put 3 star and up reviews on my blog at this point. I also usually only review ARCs, books I’m directly contacted to review, and newer releases.

BADGES:

If you could create one badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?

Most Sporadic Posting Schedule? Perpetually Behind on New Releases? Most Cynical Sense of Humor?

What’s one book that you are absolutely dying to read?

Without any hesitation, The Becoming of Noah Shaw. I’ve requested on NetGalley and Edelweiss and no luck.

What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you’ve never received an ARC, what’s the last book you reviewed?

The last one? I just reviewed The Canary Club by Sherry D. Ficklin, and the most recent approval I received was Nothing But Sky by Amy Trueblood.
